DANIEL CHAPELLE

Daniel Lachapelle received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering & Robotics from Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal, Quebec. He also holds a Certificate of Advanced Management from McGill Executive Institute - McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Daniel started with Foster Wheeler in August of 2011 from Fiera Axium Infrastructure in Montreal where he served as Vice President Construction. Daniel brings with him over twenty years of success driving business growth and revenue. During a twenty one year career with SNC-Lavalin, he held the role of VP Pharmaceutical Engineering and Sr. VP & General Manager. Daniel was responsible for overseeing SNC Lavalin's Engineering & Technology Division with operations in Canada, the US, India and Asia; directing national and international business development, sales, marketing, client relations, finance, HR, quality control, divisional business administration, regulatory compliance, and safety and environmental programs. Since joining Amec Foster Wheeler as President of the Process and Industrial Division and Global Business Line Leader, Daniel has grown the division revenue and profit by over 500% and has turned it from an Engineering only division to an EPCM Integrated Supplier. Daniel enjoys running and snowboarding as well as spending time with his family and friends

KOJI KAWASAKI

Koji KAWASAKI is a businessman and also an engineer of great experiences of clean-room technologies for many industries such as pharmaceutical', medical', food' and others with more than 30 years. He established his own company, "Airex Co.,Ltd." in 1997, and he has always been challenging himself to develop new state of the art clean-room systems including already manufactured system in his firm such as Sterile Isolators, RABS、Bio-decontamination systems using Hydrogen peroxide vapour, Containment systems, and E-beam Sterilization systems. In 2012, he established a joint-venture company, "Tofflon-Airex" in Shanghai, and he has launched overseas market development by using his technological experiences in Japan. His major in the college was chemical engineering.

ANTONIO BUENDIA

Head of Manufacturing Process Control NOVARTIS

Antonio Buendia is Head of Manufacturing Process Control of NOVARTIS, responsible for setting up the technology direction for the Pharma Division (ca. 25 sites, including Pharma, Chemical and Bio) in terms of Automation. Previously, Antonio has worked for Eli Lilly in Madrid, where he shaped the site automation strategy and subsequent implementation driving productivity and quality. He has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of Project management, Facilities master planning, solid dosage, liquid dosage, R&D labs, and qualification of facilities, utilities and equipment. This wide experience in Engineering very close to Operations, allows him to link the technology dimension with the business needs. Antonio holds a Master for Industrial Engineering from the University of Comillas in Madrid. He is a founding member of the ISPE Spain, which chaired from 2007-2009 and as well as a member of the international board of Directors of the ISPE, Tampa from 2009-2011.

Frans has more than 25 years of diverse leadership experience in sales, manufacturing, marketing and management positions. Prior to this role, he held the role of Vice President Sales & Marketing at GEA Pharma Systems. Prior to joining GEA, he worked at o.a. BOC Edwards, CMG consultancy and General Electric Plastics. In his current position he heads up the global center of excellence for continuous manufacturing technologies within GEA Pharma Systems and is part of the pharma SBU board of the GEA Process Engineering segment. Frans holds an MSc in mechanical and industrial engineering from the Technical University in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Ton Capella is President and CEO of the company Azbil Telstar SL, subsidiary in Spain of the Japanese group Azbil Corporation. Almost all Ton's professional career has been linked to his family founded company, Telstar. Since 1991 Ton leaded this company to become nowadays one of the top global solutions supplier of engineering, construction and validation of complete laboratories and critical facilities for research and manufacturing of medicines, and also pharmaceutical equipment design and manufacturing with its own technologies for life sciences field. With operations in Spain, China, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Brazil, United States… up to 14 countries, Azbil Telstar covers all the world. In 2013 Telstar was sold to the Japanese Azbil to have a more solid base for the future expansion of the company. The company changed its name to Azbil Telstar SL and Ton remained in the company as President & CEO. Ton received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETSEIAT (Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeries Industrial i Aeronàutica de Terrassa), UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia).
